About Tim Oliver

Mr. Oliver has over 30 years of experience in the engineering and construction management industry supporting a wide array of military, public works, and environmental projects throughout the world. He joined Akana in 2002 and was promoted to Vice President in 2009, Senior Vice President in 2017, and Chief Operations Officer in 2021. He is responsible for overseeing Akana\'s construction services, engineering, architecture, planning, environmental, and assessment management business lines.In addition to overseeing corporate operations, Mr. Oliver continues to provide specialized consulting related to hazardous waste thermal treatment operations and regulations; including the design, development, construction, and operation of thermal treatment systems, the planning and completion of trial burn and comprehensive performance tests, and the planning of multi-pathway risk assessments. Mr. Oliver participated in the development of U.S. EPA’s guidance documents for conducting hazardous waste combustion unit permitting and screening level human health and ecological risk assessments for combustion unit emissions. He has worked with systems treating hazardous, medical/infectious, municipal solid, and mixed-radioactive waste materials in a variety of systems including rotary kilns, solid batch feed systems, fluidized beds, rotating hearths, and plasma arc furnaces.
