ABOUT TIM MUNDON
With over 20 years of experience in the marine renewable energy field, Tim Mundon is a scientist and engineer who is passionate about developing wave energy solutions. He is the Chief Technology Officer at Oscilla Power, a company that aims to unlock the vast global potential of ocean energy with its novel and cost-effective Triton wave energy converter. Tim is the inventor of the Triton concept and leads multiple teams of engineers and scientists working on advancing Oscilla\'s cutting-edge technology. He has been instrumental in securing more than $20M of federal and private funding for Oscilla\'s projects. He also holds affiliate faculty positions at the University of Washington and Oregon State University, where he provides guidance and support to graduate students and conducts research on various aspects of wave energy. He has published several papers and a book chapter on topics such as wave energy system optimization, design, control, and integration. He is a Chartered Engineer and holds a PhD in wave energy from the University of Edinburgh.
