ABOUT TIM MIAO
After working as a full-stack developer for a number of years since my Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Engineering at U of T, and with the goal of fulfilling my passion for creating innovative products, I joined the part-time MBA program at Rotman School of Management while having a full-time job. During the last year of my MBA, I was honored to pair with a few tech ventures through the Rotman CDL incubator program, focusing on helping Seed-Stage and Science-Based start-ups to scale to the next generation of technology ventures. I was able to successfully provide strategic insights & actions and turn these research innovations into high-growth ventures.As a product manager, I am thrilled to help and develop many successful products, they include:• Reach®. a programming language and specialized compiler that allows full-stack developers to build decentralized applications at a fraction of the cost, complexity, and time. The product drastically reduces and lowers the barrier to entry into blockchain development.• Ally®, a decentralized communication app that utilizes blockchain and encryption to enable secure connection for communication. I designed their complete product roadmap and led the team to rebrand the app from an MVP to a 4.8 Star rating DApp in 2019.• Foreceipt®, a cloud-based cross-platform receipt management app that helps small businesses to keep track of their receipt record for tax purposes. My contribution helped increased their Canadian IOS App Store to 3rd Rank for “Receipt Management” in 2018.I am also the Co-Founder of TMR Marketing and Consulting Inc, we offer one-stop Ecommerce services that include website design, digital marketing, and business strategy consulting for startups and small business.
