As the Student Life Newsletter Editor, I lead a team that sends out daily email newsletters five days per week with Mad Mimi and Constant Contact software, which each include content like local and on-campus events, sports scores and schedules, and daily trivia in addition to StudLife articles. The emails are sent to members of the WashU community. My work doubled average open rates from 20% to 40%, and increased engagement rates by 50%. I expanded newsletter operations from a one-person job to a full staff of four writers, three editors, and a meteorologist within two years of taking over operations.As the Newsletter Editor, I also organize my team\'s work schedule and plan out each week of newsletters in collaboration with editors of the other sections of the paper. I have also contributed to the newspaper by photographing events, creating social media posts, and copyediting articles.Additionally, I served as a Managing Editor on the paper from March through December 2024, during which I offered direct input into the operations of the broader newspaper.
