ABOUT TIM MCALISTER
Tim McAlister is currently serving as the Supply Chain Director for Southern Nuclear. In this role he leads the Southern Nuclear Supply Chain operations for the eight nuclear units currently in operation. In his 28 plus years with Southern Company, Tim has held many positions in Supply Chain supporting Power Generation. Prior to his new role, Tim served as the General Manager for Category Management and Transactions for Southern Company GAS & Power Generation. In this role he led a team of Category Managers, Contract Agents and Buyers responsible for developing category management strategies, developing contracts and sourcing services/materials for capital and operations and maintenance spend of Southern Company’s gas & electrical generating assets. Tim has also served as the Manager of Strategic Transformation & Unregulated Entities. In this role Tim was responsible for leading the SCM’s Organization Transformation which included reorganizing SCM by functions (Power Delivery, Generation, Enterprise Services) and implementing Category Management across the Southern Company Enterprise. Team has also served as Strategic Sourcing Team Leader for Southern Company Generation. In this role he was responsible for supervising and setting the strategy for MRO sourcing, major equipment and Alliances for all the Southern Company plants.
