ABOUT TIM MANN

I am a dedicated public sector professional with extensive experience in youth engagement, safeguarding, and training. My career has focused on creating impactful educational programmes and fostering partnerships to support & empower young people. As part of the small National Volunteer Police Cadets (NVPC) team, I support & encourage cadet programmes across all UK police force regions and national youth projects including our partnerships with The Walt Disney Company\'s Global Security EMEA group, Nineteen Group\'s international security Expos at NEC and Olympia, and other major events. Since 2021, I have now presented the NVPC\'s mandatory youth safeguarding training courses to over cadet leaders (450 sessions, both online and in-person, making up over 80% of the total NVPC training delivery), up to end of 2025, with additional new training commencing Feb 2026 including cadet risk assessment and youth mental health sessions.Outside of my National VPC role, I am also proud to support two incredible charities (both run by good friends) Growing Against Violence (GAV) and the Breck Foundation, as a facilitator and fund raiser, working directly with young people & professionals in schools and communities. GAV is a charity dedicated to preventing youth violence and safeguarding young people against exploitation by gangs and grooming, both in real life and online. GAV runs inspiring and engaging workshops in schools and colleges, for young people, teachers, professionals and communities. We address the root causes of violence and threat, empowering young people to positively spot how gangs and predators operate and groom, exploit, debt trap and threaten them. Trusted adult support, sign-posting and engagement. At Breck Foundation, we are committed to safeguarding children and young people online by raising awareness about digital dangers such as grooming and exploitation. This Southeast England-based charity reaches thousands of students annually through school sessions that educate on these vital issues while filling critical gaps in the UK curriculum. By collaborating with teachers, parents, policymakers, and technology companies nationwide, we aim to create safer digital spaces where future generations can thrive online. I have spoken at conferences both in the UK and internationally.
