ABOUT TIM MAGINNIS

Vastly experienced retailer appointed to Area manager in April 2023 after leading the team in the Crayford Supermarket, an ft store in Dartford where Tim hosted the yearly Analysts Day, in the company of the whole Operating Board showcasing the new Boparan Restaurant Hub, the first branded EV charge point plans and future format concepts. Tim has previously Led Shrink improvement across the South Zone/Division, reporting to the Zone Managing Director at that time, working with the 9 Regional Stores Directors. His role included Lead Zone Convenience Shrink improvement, Zone South Supermarkets & his Area & Region. All achieved shrink two years consecutively (20/21 & 21/22). Tim\'s style would be described as calm and assured with great engagement skills and is renown for growing talent from within the organisation and has been a Regional Talent Lead store manager for many years. He is also a Graduate trainee manager assessor. Tim covered as Regional Stores Director in Sussex before the role was recruited for. He covers / deputises for the Stores Director’s frequently and does so with credibility. Tim has twice been shortlisted for store manager of the year at Sainsbury’s. He has run over 20 stores across London and the South, including Crayford, Kiln Lane in Epsom ( both in Top 5 of the companies portfolio ) Wandsworth, Haywards Heath and had the privilege to open a new store in Bognor Regis in 2012. He was the Area Convenience manager, covering 18 stores, the South Zone’s highest taking Area. He lives in Horsham, West Sussex.
