About Tim Maass

Locally grown from the Seattle area, returning to the great North West after some time living abroad post college. I\'ve landed into the strange and constantly evolving world of property management and been in it now for almost a decade. During that time I have overseen a luxury, historic building in the heart of the city, opened two brand new building, oversaw a satellite of 4 class A/B buildings, and much more. Most recently in 2021 I took a portfolio manager role with my company, Blanton Turner. My current portfolio of properties spans from Everett to Pioneer Square with around 800 residential units and multiple commercial tenants. My portfolio, along with regular market rate units, has a decent student housing focused contingency of properties. This submarket is comprised of unique needs, centered around student schedules, wants, and locations. My team fluctuates in number based one seasonality and onsite needs but is generally made up of 20-40 employees, ranging from leasing agents and porters to maintenance and satellite supervisors. I enjoy daily communications with my site teams, ownership groups, and our internal teams to make sure we are efficiently running our properties and giving our residents the best experience. As with any job, it\'s finding those extra touches and being able to infuse different passions into our tasks that always make the job worth doing.

   Overseeing an expanding portfolio of properties from Pioneer Square in Seattle up into the Everett market. Many of my properties are student housing focused buildings, either partnered directly with a local college or designed to serve those populations. I have a rich and diverse staff or maintenance, leasing agents, assistant managers, and property managers, ranging in number between 20-40 depending on current portfolio and shared oversight. I\'m very proud of the team we\'re continuing to build and look forward to working with more clients, residents, and staff.My current portfolio includes 9 buildings with over 500 residential units and over sq ft of commercial space, spanning five unique submarkets. Every market continues to be a challenging tightrope walk as our greater Seattle area morphs and adapts to ongoing labor market changes, but it is a challenge that leads to innovations and creative solutions.
