Joined Coopers and Lybrand as a graduate in 1983 working in the personal tax practice, with a secondment into our forensic accounting business. Subsequent periods were spent in the corporate tax group and mixed tax before I joined M&A tax in 1997. I have been on the tax commitee of Invest Europe since 2018 and involved in all the major tax policy debates in relation to private equity focusing on EU commission consultations.From1997 to 2001 I worked primarily on mid size and large corporate/PE transactions. Arround 2001 I deversified into fund structuring/carried interest and was responsible for setting up a number of PE funds. Since 2003 I have focused on management incentives and currently lead the European Team.I have been a member of the British Venture Capital Associations Tax Commitee since 2004 and involved in all the key issues for the PE sector since that date.
