I joined Steele Raymond on 18 November 2023 as a Partner in the conveyancing team.Rare these days, but Steele Raymond have a seriously impressive reputation, both locally and nationally, with an overriding drive to always deliver first class legal services to all their clients. With a goal to expand their conveyancing team I was delighted to accept an opportunity to join them and to help deliver this - bringing with me all my conveyancing skills and ways to successfully grow a conveyancing team.So few law firms actually offer impressive conveyancing - but at Steele Raymond they actually do.Expertly prompt conveyancing - it’s what they do!

ABOUT TIM HIGHAM

Exchange isn’t hoped for. It’s engineered.I work with estate agents and their clients who understand that in residential property, preparation is everything. With 28 years’ experience as a solicitor and partner in residential conveyancing, I structure every file from day one around a single objective:To be exchange-ready as early as possible — often within three weeks where all parties are engaged.Because agents don’t get paid on instruction. They get paid on exchange. That takes more than process. It takes judgement, momentum and control. My approach focuses on:• Identifying issues early — before they become deal-breakers• Tight, purposeful enquiries — no unnecessary back-and-forth• Commercial judgement — knowing what matters and what doesn’t• Active chain management — not passive updates• Clear, consistent communication throughoutI don’t progress transactions.I drive them toward exchange. For estate agents, that means fewer stalled files, better client experience and more predictable outcomes. For clients, it means clarity, momentum and a conveyancing process built to move — not drift.
