About Tim Hardy

Became employed at the Yuma County Juvenile Court since December, 1991, as a probation officer. Became Juvenile Court Director in June, 1997. Became a Treasure Hunter in October 2013. Retired from the Yuma County Juvenile Court in July of 2021. Past President of The American Probation and Parole Association, 20••••19. Immediate Past President 20••••21. I believe that All children are capable of success, NO EXCEPTIONS. My agency adopted the Kids At Hope philosophy in May of 2014. There has been much learned since then. It took four years, but now all staff search for all talents, skills and intelligence that exists in our youth. The most difficult part of this awesome transformation, was using the term Treasure Hunters as opposed to just bring Caring Adults. We realize all kids have treasures, the ones who excel in school, sports and other activities, have treasures on the outside and are sometimes called gifted. Other kids have treasures on the inside and are sometimes called kids at risk. A Treasure Hunter takes the time to dig for treasures in every kid and won’t ever give up on them. Adopting Kids At Hope literally changed my life and the lives of many others. This is a great concept and makes one feel really good seeing the success of so many.
