Senior Developer on a team taking the company’s flagship software product into the cloud. Application allows for real-time tracking of assets and location of personnel within a hospital or clinical setting- Work on backend written in.NET for running in Azure cloud utilizing IoT Hub, Service Buses, Event Hubs, Functions, Cosmos DB, SignalR, and APIs for the data supplied to the front-end software. Cloud software is monitored through alerts to notify support personnel immediately if something is wrong- Worn on front-end is written in React to provide the administration functionality, as well as the graphical display of the location and the assets/staff in that location- The newest feature of the system allows for staff to request help by pushing a button on their badge, requiring quick and guaranteed delivery of the messages through the Azure ecosystem to the end systems monitoring for the distress calls- Took on the responsibility of cost analysis of our Azure resources and implemented reserved capacity on our Cosmos DB and SQL Server to reduce costs in all environments- Worked on setting up materialized views to combine Cosmos DB and SQL Server data into one place for faster querying- Responsible for static code analysis issues being reported to create stories to fix issues and track them to completion.
