Manage yearly $ 6.6 million dollar Maintenance Department operating budget which includes parts, labor and building utilities. Implemented World Class Maintenance concepts and Preventative Maintenance Optimization (PMO) to improve equipment reliability. Experience working in union and non-union environments. Maintain a good working relationship with all UAW union representatives. Implementation team for QCDSM to help drive culture change and self directed teams. Selected as a member of the first team to attend the Try-Z seminar. Using team involvement developed a creative maintenance coverage schedule for 24 hours, 7 days a week. Instituted daily shift turnover meetings, Bi-monthly maintenance leadership team and monthly departmental meetings to improve communications and morale. Member of the Safety Steering committee. Instrumental in the development and implementation of PSM / RMP, Lock out / Tag out, confined space and hot work permit programs. Develop and manage Capital projects using a team approach, as part of an annual $2 million budget. Managed a $3.5 million capital improvement to update and expand the ice cream filling and packaging facilities.
