ABOUT TIM GÖTTSCHING

Technological cutting-edge solutions for the B2B market are not only my passion, but are also the focus of the business unit for which I am responsible at Hermes Abrasives. My team initiates and conducts new product developments thanks to its extensive knowledge of the industry. It sets the course for business development activities and profitable market strategies, supports sales through application engineering consulting and an involvement within a wide range of B2B marketing activities: from trade fair presentations to specialist lectures at conferences, or structures the portfolio internally in close coordination with other departments such as production or logistics. In addition to my ability to lead and coach the teams in these challenges, I can directly contribute my expertise in the field of production engineering and especially grinding technology and use my network of industrial and scientific contacts. I am continuously expanding this network through regular worldwide customer visits, attending conferences, trade fairs and research working groups as well as through direct support of technical key accounts. Furthermore, my strengths lie especially in the simple and easily understandable presentation of complex issues and products requiring technical explanation. My work is always characterized by a structured and methodical approach. A characteristic of mine that certainly explains why I specifically use lean management principles for my daily work and why I am always interested in efficient processes (not only along the value chain). Last but not least transforming Hermes Abrasive into a modern company with a new culture, which is less hierarchical, more cross functional, more direct, more hybrid, more collaboration orientated, more sharing of information and wisdom, simply teams who are more empowered with the ability to quickly react to any new challenge is a huge part of my job and characterizes my leadership style.
