As Head of Development at WSP, I lead a team of c.300 specialist consultants from a variety of backgrounds, including civil engineering, transport planning, and infrastructure / urban design, who advise a broad range of public and private sector clients on the planning, design, assessment and implementation of all sizes and types of development and masterplanning projects across the UK and internationally.Based in the UK\'s Headquarters in Central London, I oversee the growth and development of the team, which operates from a network of offices across the UK and from our complementary resourcing offices in Noida and Bengaluru, India. I promote and embed a culture of exceptional client care driven by technical excellence, strong team identity and personal empowerment / responsibility. In addition, I work closely with colleagues from across the wider WSP business to cross-sell engineering, planning and design services, and to lead major multi-disciplinary projects.With 20 years of development planning experience across the UK and around the globe, including throughout the Middle East region, I draw on a significant breadth and depth of knowledge when advising clients and colleagues. I particularly enjoy unlocking challenging sites for clients through the formation of ambitious, future-ready access and utilities strategies that embrace the transition to net zero carbon and promote healthy lifestyles.
