About Tim Errington
I have a broad background in biomedical research, with specific training and expertise in preclinical cancer biology research. I have expanded my expertise by leading and engaging in various metascientific investigations into rigor, reproducibility, and transparency, such as my experience spearheading the Reproducibility Project: Cancer Biology, an open science initiative to replicate high-impact preclinical cancer biology experiments. I have also given numerous talks and lectures on these topics as well as various metascientific topics I have contributed to, including research credibility and knowledge advancement. Finally, I hold leadership responsibilities at my position at the Center for Open Science where I focus on increasing our understanding of the current challenges in conducting and sharing research and how effective new initiatives, tools, and methodologies are at increasing rigor, reproducibility, and openness of research. I do this by collaborating with other research organizations and researchers on various research projects and initiatives, which provides me with unique cross-disciplinary and methodological experiences in understanding the research process and working with others to advance the process of science.
