Co-head of the Americas Business Intelligence Group, responsible for analyzing legal, regulatory, and reputational risk on all prospective capital market financing, lending and principal investing opportunities firm wide. Business lines covered include Debt/Equity Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance, Merchant Banking, M&A Advisory, Principal Investing, and Alternative Investments. • Member of the Firmwide Credit Markets Capital Committee, Global Markets Investment Committee and Reputational Vetting Group• Devise and implement strategies to mitigate transaction risks, including bribery and corruption, economic sanctions, export regulations, regulatory investigations and environmental and social responsibility issues. Present these strategies to external clients, business teams, and senior firm personnel.• Collaborate with external clients, business teams and external legal counsel to assess compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), U.K. Bribery Act, and sanction/export regulations administered by the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS).
