ABOUT TIM DAVIS

I am originally from Birmingham, Alabama. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, cum laude, from the University of Alabama in where I was a Presidential Scholar, Hugh Kaul Scholar and Paul \"Bear\"​ Bryant Scholar. I was also a member of Omicron Delta Kappa, the Anderson Society, Gamma Beta Phi, and named \"Who\'s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities.\"​ In 2004, I received my Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law where I was an Albert W. Copeland Scholar, served as a Senior Editor of the Alabama Law and Psychology Review, and was a member of Alpha Epsilon Lambda Honor Society. I am licensed in both Alabama and Mississippi and spent 9 years in the private firm setting practicing general commercial litigation. My practice was wide-ranging, but regularly involved the defense of insurers and financial institutions, as well as product liability, professional liability, and toxic tort claims. I was selected as a \"Rising Star\"​ in the field of litigation in the 2010 and 2013 editions of Alabama Super Lawyers. The \"Rising Star\" honor is bestowed annually upon fewer than 2.5 percent of attorneys in a particular state. In 2013, I joined the Corporate Real Estate Department of Alabama Power Company. I spent 4 years within the Land Acquisition Department handling condemnations, zoning, subdivisions, and related litigation and legal issues. In 2017, I began overseeing land sales opportunities, where our department negotiates and handles issues involving the development, management, and divestiture of company land as well as risk mitigation. In 2022, these activities were expanded to include all land leasing revenue opportunities, including vertical real estate attachments.
