I am responsible for the daily operations, sales strategy and staffing of BDI Canada’s Calgary branch. We are a small team which includes inside / outside sales and shipping / receiving. I lead, coach and engage with my team members to ensure their tasks are aligned with our goals and growth targets. In addition to daily tasks of running a branch, I also work directly with all key account customers in region, Metrie, ADM, IKO, Maple Leaf and Labatt’s and report to our priority accounts team on ongoing projects related to cost savings and target product growth. Our branch is a profit and loss center, accordingly I manage our costs and activities to ensure we bring return on BDI’s investment This includes monitoring operational costs, freight, supplier and customer rebates and staffing. To achieve our goals we focus on high value sales opportunities, share of wallet growth and efficient branch operations. Under my leadership we have seen continued growth and have been recognized nationally for meeting sales and cost savings targets.
