ABOUT TIM BOWES FSLL

With over 20 years experience within the lighting industry, I have been at the forefront of supporting Whitecroft Lighting apply latest industry research into the health and wellbeing impacts of light, adoption of LED technology and more recently supporting our transition to offering circular product solutions and addressing the long-term sustainability impacts of lighting in delivering on the transformative change needed within the wider construction industry. My key responsibilities consist of the lead for our C2C accredited families, LCA/EPD activity, technical governance, training (internal and external), lighting design policy, and supporting new product development and project work. I have a high level of technical knowledge and a key problem solver and recently completed a Post Graduate Certificate on ‘Innovation, Enterprise and the Circular Economy’ at the University of Bradford, attaining a score of 73%. Outside of Whitecroft Lighting I am active within the lighting industry supporting, and being part of several industry groups, including chair for the Education and Membership Committee for the Society of Light of Lighting, WELL Light Concept Advisor, Luminaire Working Group Member and previous task group member for LG2: Lighting for Healthcare Premises. This engagement goes beyond lighting into the wider construction industry where I have presented on several occasions on circular product innovation and design.
