As the Data Capture Lead for the BIM Team for the CENTRUS Joint Venture on the Centre Block Rehabilitation Project, I oversee the strategic collection, processing, and integration of high-accuracy spatial data into project workflows. My focus areas include terrestrial laser scanning, close-range hand scanning, photogrammetry, and 3D visualization.I develop and implement innovative reality capture workflows that support design coordination, construction sequencing, and heritage preservation efforts on one of Canada’s largest and most complex restoration projects. My role bridges the gap between field data and production teams — ensuring that accurate, actionable, and fit-for-purpose 3D deliverables (point clouds, orthophotos, mesh models, etc.) are delivered to architects, engineers, and stakeholders.Key areas of expertise- Reality capture planning and execution (laser scanning, photogrammetry, UAV data capture)- Data processing, registration, meshing, and visualization- Integration of 3D scan data into BIM and CAD environments- Development of new workflows for as-built documentation and heritage recording- Exploring and piloting new technologies to improve project delivery outcomes- Passionate about continuous innovation, I champion emerging tools and techniques that enhance project accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
