It is our ambition to create novel approaches and improve existing technology to address current needs and challenges in healthcare.In January 2015, Enmodes started the development of RAS-Q®, which will disrupt the respiratory assist market. RAS-Q® is a portable artificial lung and will offer a new therapeutic approach for patients suffering from severe lung diseases. The device is based on conventional lung support technology, but also includes the lung’s flexible movement using a patented device-integrated compliance. This allows for a long-term, passive lung substitute that patients can carry around in their daily lives. Thereby, RAS-Q® really is “The Lung in a Backpack”.
