ABOUT TIM ALDRIDGE
I am a Tax Senior Manager working in the KPMG corporate tax team in Milton Keynes. I spend the majority of my time working on technical tax advisory projects but also have a small portfolio of compliance clients.After initially training as a secondary school mathematics teacher, I trained on the HMRC tax specialist graduate programme before joining KPMG in 2018.In my current role, I enjoy bringing together the soft skills I learned as a teacher, insights from HMRC, and tax technical experience from KPMG. At work, I am most happy when talking clients through difficult concepts in a clear and coherent way.Outside of my main role, I am the team leader for the Milton Keynes tax team. I also have line management responsibility for 3 members of our team. In these roles, I help support employee wellbeing, performance and career development.Outside of work, I am a parent governor at Winslow Church of England School. In a past life (pre-children!) I competed in many ultra distance and mountain running events. These included Transvulcania, Matterhorn Ultraks, South Downs Way 100mi and Race to the Stones 100k. I love the mountains and one day will get back into it!
