ABOUT TILMANN WRÖBEL

I freshly arrived in Paris in the 80’s and I quickly enrolled at the “Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne” as a student fashion designer. I earned myself a solid experience by working with the most prestigious names in Haute Couture such as Christian Dior or Nina Ricci. Throughout this period, my work was rewarded by the ‘Concours du Comité Colbert’ in 1987. I received the 1st prize in Haute Couture ( Nina Ricci ) and 2nd prize in Haute Fourrure ( Revillon ), luxury fur. My eclectic tastes and my passion for skateboarding slowly drove me away from luxury towards streetwear, surfwear and jeanswear. I became designer for numerous brands such as Chipie and this is where I met and worked with Jean Elbaz, Christian Sansat and other international denim experts. For 11 years, I have been working for the world leader in surfwear: Quiksilver- Monsieur-T. From a haute-couture background to THE DENIMS & BOTTOMS STUDIO - In 2007, I founded Monsieur-T, the international Studio for Denim and Bottoms studio. During the past years, Monsieur-T. has become a name in the denim industry, creating & consulting for clients such as- Adidas Originals - Barbara Bui - Bluezone Munich / Munich Fabric Start - Chanel - Chambre Syndicale de la couture Parisienne - Cordura Brands - Courrèges - DC shoes - De Fursac - Denim Expert Ltd / Bd Denim Expo - Eurovet - Just Denim - Kenvelo - Lafuma - Lee Cooper Brands - Ober - Oxbow - Pull-In Denim - Quiksilver - Roxy - The Cooper Collection - Zadig & Voltaire - Zapa The Monsieur-T. expertise comes from 30+ years in Sportswear and Fashion design.
