About Tikli Basu

I have largely been in turnkey positions that entailed executing a product from start to finish. A major chunk of my career has been in senior editorial posts, generating content and seeing through the final product - both print and digital. A people-first approach has made me a good manager and developer of talent. In two positions, I have handled the operations of more than one city, and in one, I oversaw the production of eight editions of a multi-edition daily. I count team creation as one of my fortes, having done it several times in cities like Kolkata, London, Mumbai and Delhi. My exposure to new media has helped me become an integrated journalist, as technology continues to open up better and quicker avenues of disseminating news. I have also successfully led a small team to international acclaim in Social Media - our effort was judged the best in Asia in 2012, and the third best the following year.
