As the first-ever Localization lead at HIAS, I established localization and partnership teams at HQ, Regional, and country levels, supporting their respective leadership teams in contextualizing global strategic priorities. Major accomplishments include: • Created a global localization roadmap for HIAS by focusing on mainstreaming of localization in humanitarian advocacy, policy, and practice • Led HIAS’ efforts of engaging local and national entities in the Ukraine Emergency Response. Supported HIAS teams in Ukraine, Poland, Romania and Moldova to identify and engage refugee-led and local organizations as part of the humanitarian protection and service delivery.• Represented HIAS in major global platforms providing policy and practical inputs on humanitarian partnership with local and national entities. • Developed a Partnership Management Standard Operating Procedures outlining steps in engagement, vetting processes, risk management and exit strategies• Implemented a Localization Pilot Model for local organizations in Africa, and Latin America and the Caribbean Regions focusing on leadership development, flexible and multi-year funding opportunities, and capacity transfer
