WORK HISTORY
Director, Human Resources @Applewood Auto Group
Langley, BC, CA
As a part of the Operations Team, we are on a mission and together we have set the bar high on where we want to take our organization. Applewood is an employee-centric company who understands that in order to reach our business goals, we need to take care of our employees. I was hired to build upon our current HR department and take it to the next level. I currently support 11 dealerships (and counting!), with over 500 employees and contractors located in Langley, Surrey, Richmond and Port Hardy, BC. We also have industry-unique locations like the Applewood Performance Centre (you have to visit the showroom to view the most beautifully-customized vehicles you’ll ever lay your eyes on).I know that the Executive and Operations Teams are really leaning on me for my HR expertise and have supported every initiative we’ve put forward in order to create a solid foundation for what’s to come. I’m truly proud to work for Applewood and am excited about our next 3-5 years…and beyond! Believe me when I say, now is the time to join our team and witness for yourself why “It’s All Good At Applewood!”

ABOUT TIFFANY BENJAMIN
I would describe myself as someone who is always eager to support and assist. With over 21 years of HR experience (16 within the automotive industry!), I absolutely love HR as I believe we are the face of the company (for the employees at least). We can help the company by hiring the best talent for every position, then help our talent throughout their career by providing the best employee experience. I think about things like the future of work, and what that would mean for our employees and the organization. I used to be motivated to prove myself and my value to the company. I still am with a slight change in mindset - to be a good role model to my children. This is what my parents instilled in me, and it\'s what\'s lead to having a solid work ethic.I\'m a coach by nature. I love to help develop people to reach their potential. Throughout my career, I have recruited, hired, coached and sometimes mentored thousands of employees, and I\'m proud to say that 3 of my former HR Assistants are now HR Managers. I love coaching so much that I started my own Career Coaching side-hustle to help people find a career they absolutely love, and one that fits with their lifestyle.I love connecting and getting to know people. I\'m fascinated by someone\'s personal and professional stories. Everyone has had their own path, and some are still trying to figure it out. This is how I recruit, and this is how I connect with colleagues and clients. I listen, empathize, celebrate in their successes, help them figure out how to get to the next level and have a lot of fun and laughs in between. When I\'m not thinking about how to help my Company or Career Coaching clients propel forward, you can find me-Playing sports with my son (he\'s into soccer, baseball and basketball!)-Doing arts and crafts, or playing basketball or catch with my daughter-Lounging on the couch binge-watching TV shows with my husband-Reading about anything pop-culture (this is my go-to way to switch my brain and thinking to something fun and self-indulgent)-Learning - I have a lot of interests.currently learning about Cryptocurrencies, Employer Branding, How to fully utilize my Air-Fryer, etc, etc, etc. lol-I\'ve finally perfected my pancake game. The recipe I use makes the fluffiest pancakes ever!
