Develop and communicate Piston Automotive’s expectations for supplier quality performance, continuous improvement, and process capability.• Lead supplier development initiatives including Six Sigma/Lean integration, process improvements, audits, and performance management.• Assess supplier process, quality, and capacity capabilities to ensure alignment with Piston Automotive standards.• Conduct supplier quality audits with cross-functional teams including Program Management, Purchasing, and Materials.• Drive problem resolution for supplier quality issues through root cause analysis, corrective actions, and on-site supplier development.• Manage and track Supplier Corrective Action Reports, customer notifications, and supplier change requests.• Perform supplier gap analyses to develop improvement plans across Piston Automotive plants, comparing “current state” vs. “future state.”• Facilitate completion of DFSS deliverables such as PFMEAs, Control Plans, MSAs, DOEs, and Process Capability Studies.• Oversee and monitor supplier quality assurance efforts to ensure adherence to regulatory and company standards.• Identify chronic supplier issues, prioritize action plans, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.• Manage supplier databases, conduct initial and ongoing evaluations, risk assessments, and support supplier requalification.• Serve as liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders (Quality, Engineering, and Program Management) to align quality priorities.• Provide training and guidance to suppliers on quality tools and systems to enhance process efficiency and cost savings.• Support multiple concurrent projects, building strong relationships across Purchasing, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams.• Assist and coach suppliers in root cause analysis, corrective action processes, and implementation of improvement initiatives.• Travel domestically and internationally to support supplier development and quality performance consistency.
