As a behavioral technician at The Stepping Stones Group, I provide direct support to students with special needs in a resource classroom setting, assisting with instructional and behavioral interventions within the Danbury Public School District. I implement individualized behavioral plans, collaborate with classroom teachers and BCBAs, and assist with data collection and progress monitoring for IEP goals.I am passionate about mental health and behavioral issues, and I expect a BA in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Connecticut in December 2024. I also have the BCAT certification, which I obtained within 45 days of employment at Cortica, where I provided direct behavior therapy services to individuals with autism. My goal is to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and provide support and guidance to people of all ages. I am eager to contribute my skills and passion to a behavioral technician role.
