Aligned 67 staff members behind a shared strategic plan to improve performance, compliance, and emergency preparedness across programs and units.• TALENT RECRUITMENT, MANAGEMENT & RETENTION: Groomed existing clinical staff (RNs, Certified Nursing Assistants, HUC) for success via yearly assessments; recruited top talent and instituted 2/4/6-month probationary evaluations; created and justified new position levels based on projected revenue contributions and patient satisfaction. Participated in termination proceedings and unemployment hearings. Minimized the need for disciplinary action by partnering with HR and employee relations teams. Attending job fairs and college recruitment activities with talent acquisitions— Improved employee engagement and satisfaction with monthly rounding. Aligned staffing levels with acuity of patient load. Also, provided staff satisfaction with the implementation of color posters within the units. Staff engagement with monthly birthday and anniversary celebrations. Instituted employee of the month recognition with prizes. Hired 32 staff into open positions within the first seven months of employment. Converted two travel nurses to core staff after the end of their contract.• PROVIDER RELATIONS & MANAGEMENT: Established provider schedules (incl. programming limitations, closures) and coordinated ancillary providers (e.g, noninvasive cardiology, radiology) to match billing with contracted rates and staffing levels with room capacity. Raised transparency via daily/weekly communications and leadership meetings.PATIENT SUCCESSES• PATIENT SATISFACTION: Vastly improved the patient experience and quality of care by improving rounding on patients. Eased concerns and increased satisfaction levels for patients, families, and clinical staff via quick, professional resolution of grievances.
