As the FAA Great Lakes Regional STEM/AVSED Management & Program Analyst, representing the 8 states of IL, IN, MI, MN, ND, OH, SD, and SD, I work with various entities, academia, inter/cross- governmental agencies as well as the general public, to provide pipelines and pathways to youth (K-12), conferences and the general public as the need may arise, as it pertains to aviation knowledge and careers. There are over FAA employees, whom also volunteer as Outreach Representatives (OR\'s). I manage approximately 200 of these OR\'s within my regional territory. I have monthly meetings with the regional OR\'s, as well as attend any ad hoc event as necessary or requested.Our Program Office strives to reach under-privileged and under-represented populations alike: from the indigenous population, very rural areas, low income areas, young girls/women and various attendance requests. We connect individuals with resources and knowledge aimed towards enlightening them that the various careers in the aviation industry has a need for their innovative skillset, no matter what it may be. The Aviation Industry is multifaceted and it takes a village to get the planes off the ground.This is the inspiration we pour into the youth, to get them excited about Aviation. Outreach is done by volunteering & speaking school at career days, conferences,(aviation career education ACE) camps and more.
