ABOUT TIFFANY JAMES

A public servant at heart, Tiffany James has been at the Parking Authority of Baltimore City for 18 years, advancing from the Special Assistant to the Executive Director to the Communications Manager in 2012. At the Parking Authority, Tiffany has worked on many projects, including increasing parking availability for people with disabilities, launching Zipcar in Baltimore, and single-handedly overseeing all communications, including social media, website management, and informing residents about Parking Authority programs. A graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (BA in political science) and the University of Baltimore (MPA), Tiffany returned to school and earned a second bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications at Towson University in 2019. Tiffany entered public service while in college at the Village of Hoffman Estates, Illinois. After moving to Baltimore, Maryland, Tiffany joined the State of Maryland, the City of Baltimore, and a quasi-governmental agency - the Parking Authority of Baltimore City. Outside of work, Tiffany has volunteered as a tutor for Reading Partners since 2012, helping elementary school children improve their reading skills. She is also a Sunday School Teacher, a member of the Session at Govans Presbyterian Church, a member of the Pastoral Nominating Committee, and Co-Chair of the Christian Education Committee. She serves on the Communications Committee and the Racial Justice Ministry Committee, for which she is the editor of the quarterly newsletter.
