About Tiffany Cheng Nyaggah

I am a builder and connector who brings a deep passion for advancing justice and impact in complex systems in the US and global communities. I founded, led, and scaled Dignitas, an award-winning social impact nonprofit focused on improving school leadership and student outcomes in marginalized communities in Kenya. Over the course of my decade-long tenure, I cultivated robust partnerships with grassroots, civil society, and government actors to build the case for investing resources in informal settlements, leading to $65M in new funding for education in urban slums. More recently, I led an $8M investment portfolio focused on increasing racial diversity in education leadership at a national venture philanthropy, and provided strategy consulting services for education, climate justice, and economic mobility initiatives. As a board member of several national and international non-profit boards, I coach CEOs, provide strong governance, and help navigate executive transitions. Born and raised in Oakland, I developed an enduring belief in the power of cross-racial movements, equity, and leadership development in my youth and early-career experiences as a college admissions counselor, public school teacher, and community organizer.
