Provides public assistance to Allen County residents while remaining professional, helpful, understanding and empathetic to the needs of clients-Interviews clients and processes cases to determine eligibility for Medical and Food assistance programs-Processes recertifications for Medical and Food assistance programs to determine ongoing eligibility-Reviews each client and case to explore additional assistance that may be available to them and sends referrals to other agency units when appropriate-Maintains detailed and accurate records-Ensures caseload is worked and processed within a timely manner-Completes all forms necessary for maintaining and processing Medical and Food assistance programs-Refers to state policy and procedures while processing cases to follow current rules and regulations-Reviews each case for potential errors or discrepancies and acts accordingly to address any issues-Takes calls on the Customer Service line to address client questions, process reported changes, etc-Attends meetings, trainings, conferences, etc. as necessary-Prepares cases for County Conferences/State Hearings and acts as a representative for the agency-Performs additional duties as assigned (i.e, training/assisting new hires, special assignments for supervisor, etc.)-Always keeps our agency mission in mind while working with clients as Allen County Job and Family Services is committed to building a stronger community by promoting self-sufficiency with help from our local partners and employers
