Tierra Stewart serves as Chief Program Officer at DC SCORES where she develops strategy, leads innovation, and is primarily responsible for the highest-quality program implementation and expansion.Today, DC SCORES is one of the largest youth-serving organizations in the District, serving over poet-athletes annually at 60+ Title 1 elementary and middle schools throughout the city. Each year, our kids play hundreds of soccer matches, write and perform thousands of poems, and design and carry out dozens of service projects. Our program improves physical and social-emotional health, and the sense of belonging that comes with being part of a team helps kids build the resilience necessary to process the world around them. We elevate the voices of children of color and give them the skills and the platform to speak up and act out against injustice wherever they see it.
