ABOUT TIERNAN DOUIEB

Tiernan Douieb is a writer, comedian and tired parent. Oh and a BAFTA Connect member too. His work in the last few years includes scriptwriting on Hey Duggee for Studio AKA, scriptwriting for two upcoming Blue Zoo pre-school series, being part of the writing team for Jellyfish Animation\'s upcoming Stan and Gran, writing stories for the Cosmic Kids Yoga app and scriptwriting on an upcoming show for Snipple Animation among many other things. Tiernan also writes and co-hosts the award winning Bust or Trust: A Kids\' Mystery Podcast, produced by Small Wardour. Tiernan also co-runs Comedy Club 4 Kids doing stand-up shows for children aged 6+ and their families. He also writes and hosts the very popular CC4K podcast Radio Nonsense which now has global listenership and is often in the top Kids and Family podcast charts. Tiernan also co-wrote and performed a comedy show explaining politics to children with the founder of Simple Politics, Tatton Spiller and directed by several award winning Daniel Bye. The show \'How Does This Politics Thing Work Then?\' toured around the UK from 2018 to 2021, and received Arts Council funding in July 2019. Before that he toured a solo children\'s stand up show called \'Tiernan Knows Everything Ever\' in 2015. And in 2011, he co-wrote and performed a children\'s show with Tim Fitzhigham called \'The Adventurer\'s Club\' which got several 5 star reviews.Prior to that he did stand up comedy professionally for 20 years which included gigging all over the world. He supported Frankie Boyle on tour from 20••••22 and wrote for his BBC2 show New World Order; wrote for the last three shows of a very popular comedian\'s global tours; wrote and hosted the Future Curious podcasts for the charity Nesta; wrote some animated videos for LadBible; did bespoke stand-up work for Unilever; and wrote and produced his weekly podcast Partly Political Broadcast, which combined jokes about the news with expert guest interviews and was recently named as one of the Observer\'s Top Ten Political Podcasts. He stopped that in 2022 though because writing comedy about all the worst things in the world became finally too exhausting.QUOTES ABOUT KIDS SHOWS‘He had delighted giggles running round the room’ – The Telegraph is never patronising and has a fantastic rapport with the kids, generating plenty of laughs for both them and the adults alike.’ – Three Weeks ABOUT GROWN UP SHOWS“Very friendly but fiercely political” Time Out“Sharp, warm and above all, very, very funny” Three Weeks“Opinionated yet likeable” The Guardian
