About Tice Young

Tice Young is a Senior Vice President in our Birmingham, AL office responsible for the management and production of national and international risk management accounts for Stephens Insurance. Prior to joining Stephens, Mr. Young was a Senior Vice President with McGriff Seibels & Williams.Mr Young’s background is inclusive of significant private equity, publicly-traded, and closely-held entities spanning a range of industries. Speciality placements have included transactional tax, environmental, and R&W placements tied to the acquisition or divestiture of client holdings. In addition to his experience on the transactional risk side, Mr. Young has led the development of industry specific insurance facilities for clients possessing assets tied to infrastructure, chemical, and rail in the London (Lloyd’s) marketplace to further faciitate bespoke, industry-specific risk management programs. Mr. Young works in concert with both legal and investment banking teams from an advisory standpoint regarding go-forward risk management and provides due-diligence for both buyers/sellers during the transaction. Mr. Young received a B.S. in Risk Management & Insurance from The University of Mississippi, and has received extensive insurance-specific education regarding property/casualty & transactional risk placements throughout his career.For more info, see
