Led cross-functional team to develop in-house CRISPR technologies; generated critical data for 4 different platforms to support go/no-go decisions for each project; led to creation of multiple assets that support gene and cell therapy programs- Established lab operations from the ground up, set up modular Golden-gate cloning system with ~10^5 possible plasmids, managed company cell stocks and engineered over 30 different cell lines via lentivirus and CRISPR- Initiated gene and epigenetic editing programs – performed landscape analysis, indication selection, drug development planning to inform early-stage strategy and devised key research milestones; led to significant capability build out to advance each program- Validated editing technologies in multiple cell types, established and optimized assays (ex. flow, ddPCR, NGS, Nanopore), developed new experimental workflows, and developed computational tools to process and visualize data- Collaborated with scientists and senior leadership to align programs with organizational priorities and mentored junior scientists, providing scientific and technical training- Prepared and presented deliverables for bi-weekly update meetings, quarterly company-wide seminars, and wrote materials for a patent application- Contributed to hiring efforts that scaled organization from 20 to 80+.
