Senior Program Manager @Brains & Motion Education
As a Program Manager with BAM, I\'ve been responsible for training 900+ employees, preparing them to deliver STEAM and sports instruction in the Chicagoland area. I\'ve also managed close to 1M dollars worth of partnerships with school districts and community based organizations. While my role is to manage the Chicagoland area, I have also supported initiatives that have benefitted the company nationwide. One initiative was participating in our first committee to revamp our staff training and another to create ongoing professional developments based on the feedback from all stakeholders–parents, school administrators, and instructors.In my first year, I eradicated chronic staffing shortages by introducing innovative solutions to target our desired workforce. We transitioned from using a more generalized career platform like Indeed to using Handshake, a more tailored platform which pairs BAM! with qualified college professionals with flexible schedules. As a Senior Program Manager, I was also responsible for the continued professional learning and development of instructors, Program Coordinators, and Program Managers. Together we would partner around their growth plan: designing goals, identifying deadlines, and creating plans for progress check ins. Their participation was invaluable in the process of redeveloping the operational portion of the company. For instructors, this looked like multiple observations of their practice and leveraging my pedagogical knowledge to enhance their skills, increasing student learning and enjoyment.For Program Coordinators, this looked like identifying their career goals and outlining professional responsibilities of the Program Managers to gradually increase their responsibilities, preparing them for the Program Manager role. For Program Managers, we would analyze the market they managed to review trends to identify underperformance, met goals, and exceptionality, and create growth plans for continued development.
