ABOUT TIAGO PEREIRA

I’m an iOS Developer, software engineer working as a coding mentor at the Apple Developer Academy in Naples, Italy, Apple Certified Trainer and an Apple Distinguished Educator, class of 2019. At the Developer Academy I lead the evolution and application of the coding curriculum and I’m constantly working on the planning and creation of innovative coding guiding activities. My goal is to create the best possible learning experience for the students, both in person and through online courses, making programming accessible for everyone, regardless of their background- Graduated on Software Engineering at Universidade de Brasília, Brazil and as an iOS Developer by the Apple Developer Academy in Brasília in 2014. After graduating I worked as a front-end web developer before joining Instituto de Pesquisas Eldorado as an instructor at the Hackatruck project. As an instructor I have taught iOS development in different universities across the country, applying the CBL approach, until mid-2017. I’ve joined the Apple Developer Academy in Naples late 2017 as a Code Mentor and since then has been involved in managing the technical curriculum, planning and execution of challenges and activities, mentoring students individually and in groups, and the constant improvement and evolution of the program. I have been involved in the ideation and conception of tools and processes to improve the learning experience of the students, the initial versions a the technical iOS development curriculum and lead the efforts to the creation of a common language for the planning, creation and execution of learning experiences in the context of the Apple Developer Academy.
