About Tiago Saito
Tiago holds an Industrial Engineering degree and received his MBA (along side his wife) from Cornell University. Prior joining Cornell, Tiago spent 8 years in the CPG industry, working extensively throughout the Supply Chain and Business: Procurement, Materials and Production Planning, SAP ERP Implementation Projects and Customer Service. During his career in Brazil, he lived abroad in Mexico, Costa Rica and Puerto Rico, developing leadership skills in different cultures and in a different language. After his MBA Tiago worked in Investment Banking covering CPGs & Retail clients and moved to Corporate Development to lead the US M&A team at Ahold Delhaize. At Ahold Delhaize Tiago was actively involved in several diligences and two acquisitions. In the last acquisition of FreshDirect (online grocery delivery), Tiago moved to the business and served as the Chief of Staff & Head of Strategy to the FreshDirect CEO, supporting the business across strategic planning, integration and execution of key initiatives. After deepening his industry knowledge for 3 years, specially in online/e-commerce and leading M&A for the US business for Ahold Delhaize, Tiago decided to return to Investment Banking to leverage his skills to now advise multiple clients. In parallel with his busy day-to-day life, Tiago has founded a company that focus on mentoring Brazilian students that want to study and work abroad. His focus is to increase access to reliable information and democratize the consulting services, providing people with more educational and career opportunities at accessible costs. Tiago enjoys an active and clean-lifestyle (working-out, biking, skiing, any outdoor activities and clean-eating), music (playing the piano and the acoustic guitar), travelling and a good Caribbean beach! Tiago is a “Pura Vida” believer and has a PURA VIDA tattoo in his back!Pura Vida means Pure Life and is a common word for everyone in Costa Rica.For him, Pura Vida means living a peaceful, simple, uncluttered life with a deep appreciation for nature, family and friends.
