ABOUT VU-THUY THUYTWEE NGUYEN
With >3 years of experience as an epidemiologist and research scientist, I developed skills and expertise in biostatistics, infectious diseases, study design, and epidemiological methods. I contributed to 2 collaborations with state departments of public health, 3 cohort studies, and 4 first-author articles in peer-reviewed journals.I have designed and executed epidemiological studies in collaboration with internal and external PIs and co-investigators, managed project timelines and deliverables, and prepared manuscripts and reports. Among veterans, I worked on projects related to homelessness, mental health, and substance use. I have used SAS and R to collect, analyze, and visualize data, and create quality control and assurance reports.I am passionate about advancing public health and epidemiology through rigorous research and evidence-based practice. I value communication, transparency, and meaningful work, and seek organizations that shares these principles.
