I’m a backend software engineer with a little over 5 years of experience working on data-heavy systems.I currently work at the Options Clearing Corporation (OCC), where I build and support backend services and streaming pipelines used in real-time risk and trading workflows. Most of my work is in Java, Kafka, and Flink, dealing with production data, performance issues, and system failures.Before OCC, I worked on enterprise Java applications in different environments, which helped me get comfortable with large codebases, production support, and cross-team collaboration.I’m currently pursuing a PhD in Artificial Intelligence at the University of the Cumberlands. Alongside my job, I’m focused on understanding how AI techniques can be applied to real-world systems rather than staying purely theoretical.I enjoy working on systems that run at scale, debugging issues in production, and making sure fixes are practical and long-lasting.
