About Thorsten Schaeff
TL;DR: I help developers build with Gemini. I am a Software Developer and Teacher, Startup Advisor, and Angel Investor. Having grown up around the SAP headquarters in Germany, I started building on the web back in high-school, later studied Computer Science and Media across Germany, Ireland, and Switzerland, and interned with Google in London. I joined early Stripe in Dublin, building out various user-facing engineering teams across Europe and Southeast Asia, contributing to open-source software, while mentoring and investing in early stage startups along the way. I spent six years in sunny Singapore, where I build DevRel & DX at Supabase, helping developers of different backgrounds and skill levels leverage the power of Postgres to build versatile and scalable applications on mobile and web, growing Supabase from 800 databases to well beyond 1 million databases created on the platform. After fours years working on Supabase, I joined ElevenLabs to help stand up their Developer Experience team and recently moved to New York City.Settled in NYC, I\'ve joined Google DeepMind to help developers build their wildest dreams with Gemini.All views here are my own.
