ABOUT THOR MALDONADO

Welcome to my profile. Thank you for visiting. Hope all is well.I am a man of many hats. I started off as an educator in learning centers and educational nonprofits. I even got to travel the world through teaching.I did some analyst/ arbitrage work in mergers and acquisitions afterward, but went back to being an educational director and instructor. I had to build the plane as I learned to fly it. I have taught most subjects to all grade levels and most standardized tests as well. I also had to developed curriculum, design instruction, create assessments/ diagnostics and plan lessons for students with learning challenges and gifted intellects. Bloom\'s Taxonomy on critical thinking, Kandel\'s neuro-educational theory and Freire\'s diverse cultural pedagogy are at the backbone of my approach to empower my students to succeed.Those two job paths prepared me for my time as a sales agent in real estate and financial advisement. My masters in business administration and wealth management gave me an edge too. I negotiated contracts, closed transactions, kept my cool and helped a lot of people find their dream homes or map their futures.Moreover, I started to use all my coding skills to find meaningful insights in big data (like finding a needle in a needle factory). I freelanced as a website maker, but it graduated into doing both frontend and backend builds. I still teach (especially my beloved chess) when I can, but now I am a full-stack developer with a specialization in data science/ machine learning integrations. It has expanded into engineering neural networks (that is just fancy talk for artificial intelligence). I freelance as a tech consultant, but it is as it ever was for me: It is about building a better tomorrow. I do it one line of code at a time now instead of one lesson a class.
