ABOUT SUSAN THOMSON

Hello, I\'m Susan! Let me introduce myself. I have been a teacher all my working life, starting my career in the primary sector, before moving to role of early years college lecturer 25 years ago. For the last 8 years I have held the position of People Development Lead at Fife College in Scotland where I support staff to gain teaching and assessor qualifications. It is an absolute pleasure to observe a staff member with their class and then take part in a professional discussion, so the individual can reassured of the approaches they are doing well, and can be motivated to add to their \'teacher\'s toolkit\'. I am a life-long learner and I can often draw on my own professional and personal learning in order to inspire others. More recently I have become an internal coach with the College where I support staff across the academic faculties and professional services so they can move forward with clarity and optimism. Facilitating other people\'s professional and personal growth is such a satisfying process. I am a member of the International Coaching Federation and hold a Diploma in Coaching and a Certificate in Group Coaching and Facilitation from Stellar Conversations. I am working toward my Associate Certified Coach credential and am pleased to offer free coaching to anyone either within Fife College or anyone external to the College with a desire to have some thinking space to clarify their next steps in life, whether professionally or personally. In return I would welcome your feedback on my coaching. My personal journey has led me to become a Reiki Master and recently I have had the pleasure during the Fife College Wellbeing Festivals to offer Reiki treatments to staff. I am also a Certified Happiness Facilitator. Yes, there is such a thing! This training allows me to adopt positive psychology approaches to empower people to improve their own wellbeing. You can read on recommendations I have received from past clients/colleagues/coaching thinkers. I notice that people often say I am calm, patient, inspiring, supportive, an empathetic listener, positive, friendly, genuine and generally a lovely person. If you would like to arrange a chemistry call so we can find out if we are matched well for coaching, please either pop me a direct message through Linkedin or email me at s••••••••@yahoo.com. We can hold our coaching sessions via TEAMS, Zoom or Skype. And if you work at Fife College we can use TEAMS or you can opt to meet at one our campuses, or weather permitted outdoors for a walk and talk! Look forward to meeting you. Susan
