Leading multi-year strategic planning and implementation initiatives ensuring benefit programs support the needs of Employees while remaining competitive, cost effective and integrated with ERIE’s total rewards philosophy Utilization of data warehouse tools & vendors to produce benefit cost analysis, and reporting with emphasis on demographic, geographic, cost, utilization, disease, and Rx product drivers while ensuring Total Rewards Optimization. Managing overall operations inclusive of hiring, direction of personnel, personnel development, and performance assessments Recommending and monitoring plan administrators, carriers, brokers, consultants; and participating in the RFP & selection of new vendors and existing plan renewal negotiations.(Responsible for >20 vendors with spend exceeding $100 million.) Collaborates with SVM, Finance, Legal, Payroll, Communications as well as external stakeholders for solution implementations Partnering with consultants and vendors to identify drivers of medical trend (price/utilization/mix) and program opportunities Directing the development and maintenance of benefit plan documents, SPD\'s, contracts, administrative service agreements, and policies with Law Division while acting as ERISA and PPACA Compliance Coordinator for company\'s health plans & coordinating related issues with the Director, Retirement Planning and Administration, Law and Controller divisions Researching and developing benefits administration technology strategies and implementing operational solutions to improve efficiency and customer service.
