ABOUT THOMAS SLATTER
Thomas Slatter is a film producer, festival programmer, and lives in Munich. After completing his training in Switzerland, he took over as artistic director of the Zuger Filmtage in 2019. He gained his first entrepreneurial experience as a partner at the communications agency Tincan. Since the fall of 2021, he has been studying at the University of Television and Film Munich (HFF) with a scholarship from VFF, the German film and television producers\' copyright collective. In 2024, he won the DOK.talent Award, which enabled the financing of his first feature-length documentary, POLITIK IST PERSÖNLICH (co-produced by ZDF and HFF). Through his own company, Sommer Slatter Film, and the Zuger Filmtage, he is involved in the film scene and his short films have been screened at festivals such as Max Ophüls, Diagonale, and in cities including Brussels, Dresden, Sapporo, and New York.
