I design scalable architectures by blending agile and classic project management. My philosophy is simple: to build systems that truly solve customer problems you need psychological safety and ownership. My journey has taken me from fullstack engineering, over technical leadership to managing teams. Currently, I lead the backend function at Neko Health, keeping pace with the rapid growth of a health-tech unicorn. At TomTom, I led two distinct groups: a 30-engineer Routing organization and a 40-member DevEx department. We solved deep technical hurdles and delivered measurable performance gains. Notably, I proposed and spearheaded a 5-month \"Tiger Team\" to enable Linux support for our next-gen SDK, successfully qualifying the product for a Tier-1 customer.And before at Zalando, I orchestrated the transition of a $10M GMV marketplace team into the core product line. I navigated this high-uncertainty pivot with 0% regretted attrition. I also drove a company-wide legacy migration program—my most complex challenge to date—which directly involved 20 teams and impacted over 100 others.I prioritize growing talent alongside technical excellence. I mentor engineers and managers as they navigate their own career paths.
