With over 20 years of experience in public education, I am passionate about empowering educators to lead whole, healthy, and harmonious lives. As the Director of Continuous Improvement with Pitt County Schools, I co-lead a department of coach-trainers who support over 400 teachers across 38 schools. I design and implement organizational structures and programs that foster teacher and school leader development, particularly through the lens of leader identity. I am passionate about teacher and school leader development, particularly through the lens of leader identity. In my current role, I co-lead a department of coach-trainers who are responsible to support over 400 teachers across 38 schools. I also provide trainings in coaching, collaboration, mindset, talking effectively about data, and effective interpersonal skills (to name a few).I have a Doctor of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and I am a certified trainer in Cognitive CoachingSM and Adaptive Schools. I have also received multiple grants and published articles on teacher leadership, leadership development, collaboration, and data-driven decision making. In addition to my professional work in education, I have over 20 years of experience as a music director in churches and non-profits. My mission is to help others grow and thrive in their personal and professional lives.
